As I live in Texas my state has experienced the bulk of the storm, it has been pouring nonstop for 3 days and I haven't been able to go to work. For the most part however I have not experienced any major flooding or damages in my specific area.

But come Monday that may change.

I just received word that Houston will release the dams that are holding back a lot of water, and the Brazos river will rise considerable and potentially flood my area.

Hurricane Watch in my area of Texas. If you don't hear from me in a while, it's because I'm searching for somewhere higher to hide.

We're okay now. The storm has finally passed we didn't have to evacuate or anything. It was scary to think we were going to get hit by another hurricane. I'm just glad it's finally over.

My heart goes out to those who weren't so fortunate, and I hope they will overcome their hardships from the aftermath.

Just letting you all know that I'm fine. Harvey's come and gone and I escaped the worst effects of the storm. Nobody I know personally was displaced or flooded out, though a lot of folks here in Houston fared much worse. As some of you folks know, I live in Houston, Texas, and it's looking like Harvey's coming in with everything it's got. Just so you know, I'm stocked up and prepared to weather it, but I might just load up the car and run. Either way, just telling you not to worry about your old pal Hat Man. 🎩

I would go after the one in charge of storms, because I would do anything to protect my hometown.
